Travel by high-speed TGV train to your host family location.

LA VIE EN FAMILLE IN PROVINCES

Most students find that the family stay is the most rewarding and enjoyable part of their experience in France!

Each student is placed with a family that has a child of approximately the same age and similar interests.

Students will be immersed in the French language and culture while participating in the family’s daily life.

Students may also have the opportunity to visit a French school.

The teachers will be accommodated in a hotel during the family stay.

Monday, June 14

This morning, bid a heartfelt ā€œau revoirā€ and merci to your host families before boarding the high-speed TGV train bound for Paris. Relax and enjoy the scenic ride as the French countryside glides past your window.

Upon arrival in the City of Light, a private coach bus will transfer you to your hotel, where you'll check in before setting off with your teachers to discover Paris at its best.

Stroll along the picturesque quais of the Seine, admire world-class art in iconic museums, sip coffee at a charming cafƩ, or browse for the perfect souvenir in elegant boutiques.

Visit Paris

Tuesday, June 15

Today, you will enjoy a full day discovering the highlights of Paris. Begin with a visit to the world-famous Louvre Museum, where you can admire some of the most celebrated works of art in history.

Afterwards, take a leisurely walk along the banks of the Seine River, crossing its elegant bridges and soaking in the enchanting atmosphere of the city.

In the afternoon, explore the charming and artistic district of Montmartre. Wander through its picturesque streets and make your way up to the SacrƩ-Coeur Basilica, where you can enjoy breathtaking views over Paris.

How Is the Final Price Determined?

The total cost of the travel program depends on the final number of participants. Once enrollment is finalized, the balance will be recalculated in December 2026, and any adjustments will be automatically reflected in your account.

The remaining balance must be paid in full by January 1, 2027 in order for the participant to be cleared for travel.

Registration Process

  1. Trip overview

    Please take the time to carefully review all sections before clicking the BOOK NOW button to begin registration.

  2. Brochure

    We recommend using the ā€œDownload Brochureā€ button. This will allow you to save all registration documents in one convenient PDF document.

  3. Buyer Information

    Important: Use a parent’s email address only on the Buyer information section— do not use the student’s email. This email will be used by VIE for all important communications, including payment updates and reminders.

  4. Participant Information

    Complete all mandatory fields for the participant, using your full legal name exactly as it appears on your passport.

  5. Sign e-Documents

    VIE requires that a parent or legal guardian sign the following documents during the registration process:

    • Liability Release Form

    • Student Standards of Conduct Agreement

    • Host Family placement Gender Preference Authorization

    These documents will be presented electronically and must be signed at the time of registration in order to complete enrollment.

  6. Participant Tasks

    After you register for the trip, you will see a ā€œTasksā€ section in your WeTravel account.
    This is where we collect important details we need to finalize your trip arrangements — for example:

    • Passport Information

      Upload a copy of your passport & choose your in-flight meal

    • Dietary Information & preferences

      Please note your dietary preferences & food allergies.

    • Medical Information & Emergency contact

      • Please note all relevant medical history & medication.

      • Please provide the contact information of someone other than your parents (e.g., grandmother, grandfather, aunt, uncle, family friend, etc.)

    Each task will display a due date, but we strongly recommend completing all tasks as soon as possible rather than waiting until the deadline.
    Submitting this information early helps us stay organized, secure your flights and accommodations, and ensure a smooth trip experience.

  7. Manage your booking & access your trip’s dashboard

    Go to www.wetravel.com, click the SIGN IN button, and enter the email address you used to book your trip. WeTravel will send a secure one-time sign-in link to that email. Please check your inbox & spam folder, just in case. Note that the link is valid for 15 minutes.

  • Upload a legible copy of the picture page of your passport to your participant info upon registration or in your task section as soon as possible, and no later than January 15, 2027.

  • Important: Your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your return date.

LA VIE EN FAMILLE - Application Process

The American Student Application is an online form designed to help match you with the best host family.

  1. Complete the form as accurately as possible. Your answers will assist our local coordinator in selecting the most suitable host family for you. This form will also be shared with your French host family before your arrival to help them get to know you better.

  2. Access the online form by clicking the link below:

VIE strongly recommends completing it as early as possible. Incomplete or late submissions are subject to a $75 late fee.
